AKA “The Dew Crew”
Cheree Miller, Practice Manager
Cheree was recruited by Dr. Dew from a veterinary surgery practice in northern California. She moved her family out to Arkansas and joined Azzore in September of 2004. Cheree has worked as a manager for 25 years, the last 13 of those in veterinary surgery. Cheree is an active member of the community and in her church, the Russellville Christian Center, and a fitness fanatic. Always an animal lover, she works with No Kill Russellville and on Facebook in her spare time re-homing stray and abandoned cats and dogs from the Arkansas River valley.
Pam Morgan, Veterinary Technician
Looking back on my 20+ year career as a veterinary technician, I’d definitely say I’ve had the good fortune to work in a field which I truly enjoy. After graduating from the technician program in Champaign, Illinois I worked for a small animal general practice in Anchorage, Alaska for 13 years. If you’ve never been to Alaska I highly recommend you put it on your travel “to-do” list. In 2000 I moved back to the lower-48, Kansas specifically, and spent the next 4 years working for an all-feline practice. Five years ago I made the move to Russellville and joined Dr. Dew and the staff of Azzore Veterinary Specialists. When not at work I can usually be found with my Quarter Horse mare “HiHo” or diddling around in my flower bed.
My name is Kelly and I’ve worked with the Dew Crew since December 2010. My pets include 6 chickens which I refer to as “my girls” and about 40 bucking broncs which my husband and I raise for local rodeos, National Championship Chuckwagon Races and our annual Arkansas Children’s Hospital benefit rodeo which we have been putting on for 21 years, and going! When not working at Azzore, you can find me working with my partner flipping houses and any other construction job that comes up. We love building with our hands, which, if you were to see our cedar log home, you would understand why.
Kate Kersen, Night Nurse
Kate joined the Azzore team in 2014 as our Night Nurse. Once day shift is “officially outta here” Kate takes over monitoring our overnight guests, taking hourly TPRs, and making regular rounds to make sure everyone is comfortable and doing well.
Jennifer has been with us since July of 2008. Previously, she had worked in the “people” medical field as clerical personnel. She tells us she prefers our furry patients over the 2-legged variety any day of the week. She has two children, Wesley and Hannah. She also provides a home for five furry doggies: Emma & Suzie are outside; Honey, Georgia & Archie are inside. She spends most of her time during the workday in the front office greeting our clients and patients as well as taking phone calls to book appointments and answer questions the caller might have. One of her favorite parts of the job is taking pictures of your babies to post on Facebook and Twitter to share with you and your family while they are staying with us.
Jena Clayborn, CSC/Clinical Assistant
Jena fills dual roles here at Azzore. She helps as a Client Service Coordinator in the morning, and a Clinical Assistant in the afternoon. She previously worked at Azzore in 2009, and came back to work with us again full time in May, 2014. Her passion is animals and when your baby comes in, she’ll be the first to love on them! When she is not at work she has 4 babies to take care of. Landon is 4 and is a silly little boy, Kylie is 1 and is her little princess, Nala her German Shepherd puppy (who is wild and crazy) and Dolly, a rescued mastiff. Her hands are full!
Lou Ann has worked in different positions at Azzore over the years. Her Azzore career began in 2004 as our Sterile Resource Technician. She worked in that capacity until her husband was transferred to Mississippi in 2009. When the Butler’s returned to Arkansas three years later, Lou Ann rejoined the Azzore family — this time as our transport driver. She drives patients who have had surgery here in Russellville, back to Memphis TN, or Springdale, AR.
Sue Wollenberg, Accountant
Sue joined us in Feb 2014. She was “kidnapped” from Maine by her husband Eddie in 1996. They have two children, Emily and Jonathan, and 3 dogs (all furry rescues). Sue was a practicing CPA but let her license become “inactive” to raise her children. She has serviced a handful of accounting clients for 17 years from home and most recently worked as a tax preparer for HR Block. Not one to sit still, she volunteers for several organizations/causes as well as her church. She is grateful to be a part of the Azzore team.
