MAX is
July’s Patient of the Month!!

MAX truly is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
His veterinarian, Dr. Chris Merritt at Merritt Animal Clinic, referred him to Dr. Dew for a bilateral TTT (Tibial Tuberosity Transposition) surgery to correct his “trick knees”.
Way to go Max and Friends!
08/12/11 As of his 2 week recheck, Max is doing great and coping well with his bilateral surgery. His owners have been advised to increase his leash activity to short walks and we will be seeing Max again soon to check the progress of his healing.
08/26/11 Dr. Dew saw Max this morning, and we were all amazed at how quickly his hair has grown back! 4 weeks out and Max’s activity level has been increased a little bit more. Doing good Max!
10/03/11: 9 weeks post bilateral “trick knee” correction and Max is doing great!!! His patellas (knee caps) remain central through a full range of motion (ROM) and everything has healed on the inside! Dr. Dew released Max to full activity. This is good news for Max’s family as he can go back to being the playful puppy that he is! Not so good for us as we will not be seeing Max anymore.
Chase those fursiblings for us Max!

Hi everyone at Azzore,
Just wanted to thank you all for taking such great care of our Max.Max is doing wonderful and he feels so much better. In fact he has too much energy,it’s hard to slow him down. He’s doing his therapy in the pool, which he loves and working on his tan.Max also wants to thank you for his gift pack.He loves the cookies but the Starbucks coffee keeps him up at night. So he decided to give mom and dad the card. LOL
Love ya lots,
Max,Angie and Jim
It was our pleasure! Glad to hear that Max is doing well. Yeah, most of our POTW winner end up giving the Starbucks cards to Mom and Dad. ;o)
